Mean, Median, Mode, and Range

What’s the meaning of a mean - or a median, mode, or range, for that matter? In this BrainPOP UK movie, Tim and Moby help you identify the differences between these concepts, used when dealing with lists of numbers. In this educational, animated movie first you’ll learn how to add up a set of numbers, in order to calculate the mean. Then, you’ll learn about range, a way to express the extremes on a number list. If you arrange the list of numbers in order, you’ll be able to identify the median, too. And finally, Tim will show you how to compare the numbers in a list to determine what the mode is.
