As Euro 2012 kicks off with Poland vs. Greece this evening, it got us thinking about our Football movie…
Tim & Moby giving a run down of the beautiful game? Now there’s a topic you can enjoy and learn from whether you’re a fact-filled Match of the Day pundit, or you can’t tell the difference between a header and a handball.
And we’re going to make our Football topic FREE for England match days, quarter-final match days, semi-final match days and the final.
Winning.

In the movie, Tim lays out the basic facts that all football enthusiasts should know, from the size of the field, to the number of players, to the names of the different positions. You’ll find out why only goalkeepers are allowed to touch the ball with their hands, and why referees penalise players with yellow and red cards. And how about the offside rule? Tim & Moby have it covered. Don’t forget the quiz and FYI too.
3 Football topic activities to try:
- If you think you know it all, test yourself with the Quiz before watching the movie. How did you do? 10/10?
- Write or draw your own explanation of the offside rule and see how it compares to Tim’s explanation in the movie
- Read the Sports section of the FYI to learn some interesting facts about Sheffield FC. Can you write a short history of your favourite club?
